A second crew this weekend did a small re-route off Upper Dutch Hill Rd., on S71A, to help keep the sled traffic farther away from a landowner's house. There was no complaint from the landowner, but was changed as a courtesy and will be safer, keeping the trail away from a couple of gates. Signing on this section of trail was started, also.
A third crew installed a double 18" culvert of Oxbow Rd., on S71A, where a short bridge was becoming unsafe. The culvert pipe was used instead of another bridge because of other off season uses that the bridge was never designed for. The hedge-row by the culvert was also opened up for better access and for better visibility in both directions.
12 members present as well as the help of a couple of landowners. 8:30-3:00 (Some even enjoyed working by headlights!)
Thanks to all that showed up, it helps when more get involved!
And please, BE AWARE! of any changes in the trails, they're done for safety and to make everyone's ride more enjoyable!
Look back soon!

( 3 / 249 )The re-route for trail S71B that was closed last year is near completion and should make for a nice ride and views.
A culvert was added to S71A by the big bridge by Dino's off the Jct. of C7B where late autumn rains washed away some of the gravel that was pushed in place from last season's bridge repair.
A good portion of the trails this year have been brush-hogged this year thanks to Bruce Osterhoudt and Tom Fish.
More trail work to be done as colder weather draws near. For those that enjoy our trails, every weekend is a work weekend until trails open and any help is appreciated in making these trails more enjoyable to ride as well as safer!
5 members present (as well as 4 younger family members ages 10-13, helping move the brush out of the trails) 8:30-3:00
Look back soon!
