Again, please be aware of trail and signing changes. These changes are made for safety and to provide for a better riding experience, not to mention that sometimes to keep the landowners happy, by keeping the trail out of their door-yard!
And a special thanks to our members that spent the greater part of this extended holiday weekend selling raffle tickets at the Mall to help out with our trail maintenance fund! Cheers!
Remember: TRAILS CLOSED UNDER 6" OF SNOW! And do not officially open 'til after deer season!
Look back soon!

( 2.8 / 338 )The last couple weekends were spent, pretty much getting our yearly signing program under way. Did some minor brushing while putting signs out. As of this weekend, we have basically one month left before trails open, providing we get enough snow to open them. (THINK SNOW) and remember, *OUR TRAILS ARE OFFICIALLY CLOSED UNDER 6" OF SNOW* to protect the property of our landowners.
We also have a bridge on S71A left to put in and weather permitting, a culvert left to install on S71F, which should finish up the bigger projects marked for completion for this year.

( 3.1 / 289 )In our on-going effort on S71B, we had a crew putting a 14" culvert in to make a nicer crossing over a pond overflow and started signing this section of the trail.
A second crew this weekend did a small re-route off Upper Dutch Hill Rd., on S71A, to help keep the sled traffic farther away from a landowner's house. There was no complaint from the landowner, but was changed as a courtesy and will be safer, keeping the trail away from a couple of gates. Signing on this section of trail was started, also.
A third crew installed a double 18" culvert of Oxbow Rd., on S71A, where a short bridge was becoming unsafe. The culvert pipe was used instead of another bridge because of other off season uses that the bridge was never designed for. The hedge-row by the culvert was also opened up for better access and for better visibility in both directions.
12 members present as well as the help of a couple of landowners. 8:30-3:00 (Some even enjoyed working by headlights!)
Thanks to all that showed up, it helps when more get involved!
And please, BE AWARE! of any changes in the trails, they're done for safety and to make everyone's ride more enjoyable!
Look back soon!
