It was reported to me by a couple of members of our trail crew, that some our signs were missing off of Bice Rd on S71A. At this point, I don't know if a landowner pulled them or if possibly a disgruntled neighbor. Either way we are looking into this and will re-route if needed. Please tread lightly in this area. With new snow falling and the possibility of the trails being open, we don't need a permanent closure!

For what started out as a very promising season, has really turned and reared it's ugly head in retreat! Well either way we still have 6 weeks of a calender winter left, hopefully we can come up with something yet!

Well, fortunately (and unfortunately) we got our summer-like weather after the holidays. We were able to get a crew together on a decent day and get our vacant bridge in off Cnty Hwy 44. Already having the posts set in place earlier, we were able to get the main carrier beams fabricated and set, we got the deck, railings and ramps attached and our bridge is ready for use. The local farmer has his corn harvested, although the corn stubble is a bit high, the section of trail that was temporarily closed, is now ready when we get our snow back! 7 members present 8:30-4:00

And a SPECIAL THANKS to those that made this happen!

As you are heading toward St Hwy 205 on S71A from Milford, the approach side of the bridge has a lot of surface water due to the recent snow melt and heavy rains, we can only hope for this year anyway, that we can get some deep freezes to tighten this area up a bit.

Hope everyone had a happy holiday season! Was busy around the holidays trying to get some of my own stuff caught up and a few other club items taken care of.

Have been caught up with by the DEC about riding in and through the State Land area around Arnold's Lake. Through numerous conversations and meetings with the senior forester, we are allowed a trail through. This is now in danger due to the fact people are using the cross-country ski-trail. This cannot happen, everyone must stay on the designated trail! We now have been allowed to sign this trail to eliminate any further confusion. So PLEASE STAY ON DESIGNATED TRAIL, we don't need this shut down and most of all, YOU WILL GET TICKETED AND FINED!, if caught on ski-trail or in a reforestation area.

Hopefully we will get our snow back and be riding soon!

We pulled the groomers out of storage and will be getting them ready for when conditions permit. We have a new drag/planer being built as a project by our BOCES welding class under the tautilege of one of our members.

When groomers are out, please remember; STATE LAW- YEILD TO GROOMERS, THEY HAVE the RIGHT OF WAY!
