Wokdate 25-Oct-09
This was a great workday, we had enough help show up (even new members) to go off in 4 seperate crews.
Not every weekend, will we have a specific project that we are doing, but simple signing and brushing are all as important and this gave us the opportunity to do just that. One crew worked on a section on our new C7E (old S71F) continuing to open this new section, another crew worked on a section on C7D (old S71A). There is a steep hill off of Lower Dutch Hill Rd, that we felt would be safer and easier if we made an uphill and down hill, making it a divided trail. Another crew worked on S71B on the other side of the stateland, clearing briars, tall goldenrod and changing out signposts for more visible ones. And still another crew worked on C7D between Goey Pond Rd and Seminary Rd where we have an uphill grade coming into a blind corner. With the landowners permission and help actually, we were able to push out the edges of the corner to improve visibility of traffic coming up or down the hill and to ease the sharpness of the corner. Some crews made more of a day of it than others, but it is all in what was required where they were working and how much time some have to give. Remember this is, all volunteer! And we do appreciate all help!
9:00-6:00 (time change next weekend) 13 members and 3 jr members

Look Back Soon!
