I seem to be falling a bit behind again, here! Sometimes it's a little hard keeping up with everything thats going on with trailwork, we have a few landowner concerns and it has been a couple of busy weeks at work before the weather turns south. (imagine what takes precedence)
Speaking of landowner concerns, one is due to the fact that trash (specifically beverage containers) were found dumped off the side of S71B. Worse yet, right at the end of the landowners driveway! This will in no way keep our trails open! IF YOU BRING IT ALONG, TAKE IT HOME WITH YOU! If you feel you need a trailside break, don't make a party of it near someone's house. A lot of riders take it for granted that the trail is just here, let me tell you, its not, there have been a number of us, (and you've been able to read about it) that have spent countless hours making this all happen. I/we do not want to lose a section or even a whole trail due to some unfortunate circumstance where somebody just wasn't thinking. Over 90% of our trails are on private property, please treat them that way!
I'm sorry, this is turning into something I didn't intend, but somehow, needed. I only like nice phone calls from the landowners!
